Learn
Every journey begins with the basics. At white belt, students are introduced to how we move, stand, and stay safe in the dojo. Learning how to fall correctly and move with balance is the first step to becoming a strong, confident judoka. These early lessons build the foundation for all techniques to come.

Understand
At this level, students begin to learn the heart of judo — not just the moves, but the meaning behind them. They’re introduced to key Japanese words, dojo manners, and how to bow respectfully. Even small words like rei or hajime help build a strong culture of focus, discipline, and mutual respect.
